Japanese engineers have come with an idea that helps the users of a refrigerator to smile. What does a fridge have to do with smiling? Probably that if you are hungry and see a tasty thing inside you will be happy. Wrong! The Happiness Counter is a smile activated refrigerator, which means that to open it you have to smile at it first.
Developed by the University of Tokyo, the Happiness Counter is intended to help people to cope with everyday little mishaps with a smile. Also, it is believed that smiling, even when you don’t feel like it, helps to improve your general well being and that might help over eaters.
