Fuji, the Japanese giant that for 80 years has produced film for still photography and cinema has decided to quit the production of analogic filming products due to the low demand. This decision will be effective in march 2013.

Fuji management has observed that due to the 3D craze and the general changes that movie production has experienced in the recent years and a shift towards the use of digital technology, the market of traditional film stock has declined in such a way that the production of this segment of the photographic market becomes unsustainable. They want to aim their efforts towards the new technologies that are becoming more and more a common place in the filming industry.
