In a technology news note, we learned that Apple Computer has won injunction against Samsung (“tristar” in Korean Language), for alleged patent infringement of their products Ipad and Iphone. This injunction doesn’t prevent Samsung from selling its product Galaxy Note in the United States.
The Judge in charge of the case said that Samsung has the right to compete in a free market but according to her, the Korean company is flooding the market with infringing products. Apple affirms that Samsung is blatantly copying their designs. The copying would go from the shape of the cabinet of the Galaxy Note (allegedly similar to the Ipad), to the look and feel of the software to even the graphic design of the packaging box where the product comes. Nevertheless, the judge didn’t agree on banning Samsung from selling the Galaxy Note in the U.S.A. because it would benefit other companies in the market of similar gadgets at Samsung’s expense.
